2- ABSTRACT

The present work tries to convey to the dental health team (dentist, assistant and dental hygienists, prosthetic) and the educational community (dirtectivos, teachers, parents and students), restlessness and the need to work towards concrete actions in favor of "HEALTH - EDUCATION BINOMIAL".
In this case, targeted directly at risk groups such as children with disabilities as a vulnerable group.

Thus the need to insert into the community through health education is a critical step in public health aimed at promoting health with the involvement of all stakeholders.
The information obtained about the reality of oral health promotion groups often excluded from social and political circuits health activities such as people with disabilities was highly beneficial to suggest the incorporation of a range of content necessary for oral health restore lost health or maintaining obtained. Besides promoting regular visit to the dentist as another link in the chain of professionals that care for the quality of life for these children.
The overall objective was to analyze the issues raised main oral health education in educational institutions where children with disabilities attend. The data obtained were grouped into three stages: the local reality of special education, the school situation through the information provided by teachers and the current status of parents and children.

Material and Methods: We performed a descriptive observational epidemiological study of transverse section with an educational intervention project.
The study population was selected using a sampling frame based on the list of special schools, 2009, recorded by the Special Education Department, Directorate General of Schools of the Province of Mendoza, Argentina
Results: The sample consisted of 16 special education schools represented 30% of establishments with which the province has. Respondents were teachers, parents and children with disabilities examined to assess the presence of oral disease.
Conclusions: The survey results underscore the relevance of a program of Oral Health in special schools, preventive, comprehensive coverage, which involve children with disabilities and is committed to teachers and parents in oral health care.
Interdisciplinary work with school teachers, take the child as a subject in its environment, group activities enrich the process and product of learning and where everyone: professionals, teachers, parents and special children learn to participate.
The health care is no longer exclusive of medical or dental society to engage with the understanding that the education-health synergy are transcendent over the life of people.
